Who is this trip for?
This trip is perfect for open minded travelers looking for new experiences, to make new friends, and partake in once-in-a-lifetime experiences in one of the most remote destinations in the world.
If you ultra-luxe nature retreats, beautiful landscapes, wine tasting & experiencing local culture – this is the trip for you!
Unique considerations for Chile
- Flights: You’ll fly in & out of Santiago (SCL) for arrival on March 16 & departure March 22. For the optional extension, you’ll depart from SCL on March 26.
- Transportation: We’ll be flying between destinations & have private drivers arranged to and from activities. Hiking is included (easy, moderate, or advanced), but optional to trade for another activity.
- Weather: At this time of year in Chile, it is autumn. Expect highs in the 80’s & lows in the 50’s in Santiago, highs in the 50’s & lows in the 30’s in Patagonia and high’s in the 70’s & lows in the 40’s in Atacama.

Meet your hosts
Sam is a travel photographer & content creator when she’s not hosting Scout trips. She loves curating special experiences on and scouting the best restaurants, shopping areas & sightseeing. She loves scenic landscapes, slow travel and learning about local history, art, culture & food. Her favorite destinations of all time are the south of France & India.
Nicole is a luxury travel advisor from Chicago and co-founder of Scout Escapes. She loves spicy food, art history, photography, pilates, and crossing new destinations and experiences off her bucket list! Her favorite adventures so far were to Iceland and Spain!

What is the age range?
Our trips are open to anyone aged 21+. We believe that age is just a number and our trips are open to solo travelers, sisters, friends or mother daughter duos.
Can you explain your pricing
Our group trips are bespoke itineraries, curated with boutique hotels and private experiences. We exclusively select 4 and 5-star hotels and prioritize private guided activities and private transportation with trusted travel partners in the industry to provide you with an exceptional trip that is worth the price tag.
Is this open to first-time travelers?
Absolutely! Our trips are open to first-time travelers and travel veterans alike. We craft our trips in detail and can assist you every step of the way. You’ll be given an abundance of information, including destination info, travel tips, packing list, and restaurant and free-time recommendations. As always, you will also have your expert host and local guides with you during the entire trip!
How are roommates assigned?
All attendees are required to submit an extensive questionnaire that helps us get to know you and pair roommates. We take into account sleeping habits, travel preferences, tidiness, personality, hobbies and interests to choose your roommate.
Can I explore on my own?
Yes, you can absolutely do things on your own. We have scheduled free time in every destination and provide you with a list of suggestions for activities. You’re welcome to explore on your own or opt in with the group for an optional free time activity.
